Dwarf gourami
Choose the dwarf gourami only if you can source from a supplier with a demonstrably low return rate, and quarantine.
Honey gourami
Choose the honey gourami by default. It does the same job in the tank with materially better odds.
One caveat
Colour strains of the dwarf gourami — powder blue, flame, neon — are the same species and carry the same risk. The name on the tank label does not change the biology.
