Not a rainbowfish at all in the Melanotaeniidae sense but a Malagasy silverside, and one of the aquarium fish whose wild populations are in genuine trouble — its rivers have been substantially deforested. It is hardy, active and almost never sold with any of that attached.

Name ambiguity
