Established worldwide through the plant and aquarium trade and regarded as invasive in many regions. Its arrival is almost always accidental, so it is rarely the subject of a keeping restriction — but some jurisdictions do list nuisance aquatic snails, and AquariumHQ has not checked the position anywhere specific.
